About Robert Young Estate Winery
The Young family have lived on and farmed their 448-acre ranch in Alexander Valley for over 165 years, passed down through 6 generations since 1858. Robert Young Vineyards is the largest family-owned grower of premium grapes in Alexander Valley, and the patriarch, Robert Young, was the first to plant Cabernet Sauvignon in the valley back in 1963, the varietal that Alexander Valley is famous for today.
Robert Young Estate Winery is known for big, lush Chardonnays, bold Cabernets, and sublime Bordeaux blends, selected from the very best vineyard blocks on the estate. The small lot wines are exclusive to their members and visitors. The 4th, 5th, and 6th generation work in the business, continuing the Youngs’ dream of remaining family-owned for many generations to come.
