About Papapietro Perry

Following the lead of the rebellious garagiste movement in Bordeaux, Papapietro Perry Winery began in a garage in San Francisco as a hobby between friends Bruce Perry and Ben Papapietro. After 20 years of home winemaking and encouragement from their friends and family, they left the garage and The City behind to make it “official” in 1998. Now 25 years later, the winery remains family-owned and operated with a legacy of handcrafted award-winning Pinot Noirs.
Today, Papapietro Perry Winery is nestled in the heart of Dry Creek Valley of Healdsburg and specializes in handcrafted small-lot wines that are balanced, expressive, and reflective of their terroir. Over the years, Papapietro Perry has earned a reputation for consistency, showcasing some of Sonoma County's finest wines. Ben Papapietro firmly believes in a minimalist winemaking style of emphasizing the grapes' unique expression and capturing the nuances of each harvest. Quality and consistency continue to be the focus along with celebrating the charm of vintage variations in both the winemaking process and the wine tasting experience.
Together, Winemakers Ben Papapietro and David Low have meticulously crafted a line of world-class Pinot Noirs, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, and Rosé of Pinot Noir from top Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast vineyards.
