About Bob Cabral Wines
Bob Cabral, a fourth-generation farmer and grape grower from California’s San Joaquin Valley, has been a prominent figure in winemaking since 1980. Raised on his family’s 70-acre ranch near Escalon, he learned the intricacies of grape farming and winemaking from his grandfather, a foundation that complemented his formal studies at Fresno State University. Early in his career, Bob recognized Sonoma County as the ideal region to refine his craft and produce world-class wines. Over the course of more than 45 vintages, he has held key winemaking positions at several esteemed wineries, including DeLoach Vineyards, Hartford Court, Williams Selyem, Three Sticks Wines, and Bricoleur Vineyards. In 2015, Bob founded Bob Cabral Wines, focusing on exceptional Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Rosé of Pinot Noir.
Honored as Wine Enthusiast’s Winemaker of the Year in 2011, Bob’s winemaking philosophy has remained unwavering: to honor the vineyard and respect the fruit. Through close collaborations with some of the world’s most respected growers, he creates wines that authentically reflect the unique character of each variety and vineyard site, a testament to his meticulous, patient, and respectful approach to the craft.
